It was a pleasant evening we were enjoying coffee in our apartment. While gossiping, suddenly an idea for a road trip clicked in my mind and immediately a plan was made. The plan was for a road trip to Nainital from Delhi. As the plan was all of sudden thus we didn’t have a lot of time to execute the plan. We immediately packed our bags and hired a car Innova.
Trip To Nainital
We crossed Delhi border within 2 hours after the decision and entered Uttar Pradesh via Ghaziabad. The route we decided was Delhi – Moradabad – Rampur – Bilaspur – Rudrapur- Haldwani – Nainital. We followed NH-9 (National Highway) and reached Moradabad bypass via bypassing Pilkhuwa, Hapur, Amroha. We crossed the river Ganga at Ganga Snan Ghat near Bangarpur. After bypassing Moradabad we moved towards Rampur. Bilaspur was our last destination in Uttar Pradesh and after that, we entered in Uttrakhand The Dev Bhumi. We entered Uttrakhand, through Rudrapur. From Rudrapur, we had taken NH-109. And Reached Nainital via Haldwani.
Nainital is a beautiful hill station at Kumaon foothills of the outer Himalayas. It is situated at an altitude of 2,084 meters above sea level. The hill station is mainly famous for its lakes. The hill station was founded on around the early 1840s by the Britishers.
Road Trip To Nainital Routes
There are three routes to reach Nainital from Delhi. These routes are as follows:
1Delhi - Moradabad - Tanda - Dadiya - Bajpur - Kaladunghi - Nainital.
2Delhi - Moradabad - Rampur - Bilaspur - Rudrapur - Haldwani - Nainital.
3Delhi - Moradabad - Kasipur- Bajpur - Kaladunghi - Nainital.
We reached Nainital Mall road at early morning although it was a month of August the weather was still cool. People were doing exercises and morning walk. The place was clean. We parked our car at the parking and started our tour to explore the places near the Mall road. The lake was nearby and after doing breakfast we went for boating. Then we take our car and started traveling places at uphills.
As we had only one day so we shortlisted some of the good selective places to visit.
Hill station of Nainital is mainly famous for its natural lake. The lake view was amazing and we decided for boating. The natural beauty in the lap of mountains covered with greenery and the river water also gets trapped in the lap of outer Himalayas and blessed us with a beautiful natural lake. The surrounding area of the lake is beautifully maintained the main focus area of the local administration is the cleanliness of the place.
Eco Cave Park
Our next destination was Eco Cave Gardens. For reaching here we had taken our car and headed the place. The cave park is just about 3 km from the Mall road. We entered the Eco Cave Park by paying a small entry fee. The caves are very interesting and are a beautiful example of the combination of natural and man-made creation. The caves have some very beautiful spots for a photo shoot. For photography enthusiastic people this place provides some of the rarely available views.
This spot gives a tremendous Khurpa Tal and magnificent view of the greenery surrounded. The Land’s End is about 4 km from the town. The construction of houses and buildings looks beautiful with the striped farming areas.
Snow View Point
This was our last destination on the hill station. The place is on the uphill and is about 4 km distant from the Mall road of Nainital. It is quite difficult to see snow because of the climatic and demographic condition of the place in summer time. The natural beauty of that place attracts the attention of eyes. It is the highest point in Nainital, some of the attractive places can be seen through a telescope by paying some minor charges.
We decided to went back via Bhimtal. Sun was about to set when we reached Bhimtal. We stayed there for some time, the place was as beautiful as Nainital. After spending awesome time at Bhimtal, we headed towards Delhi
We joined the NH-109 at Kathgodam and headed back to Delhi. Kathgodam is again an amazing place. There is nothing much to visit at Kathgodam but the geographical location of Kathgodam is awesome.
With the never ending memories of natural beauty and enjoyment, the road trip to Nainital was awesome.
